Free to use and share
- The library is free, with no subscription or paywall. Gifts are welcome but never required.
- The software is released under the MIT licence. Every text is in the public domain or openly licensed; sources and licences are listed in Licences & sources. When you share texts, follow any attribution their licence asks for.
- The library includes historical writings so that readers can study them at the source. Including a work does not mean we endorse everything in it.
Optional accounts
- You can sign in with Google to sync your highlights, notes, bookmarks, progress and settings. Keep your Google account secure; anyone who can sign in to it can see your synced data.
- Please don't misuse the sync service: no automated mass requests, attempts to reach other people's data, or use that disrupts the service for others. We may suspend accounts that do.
- You can delete your synced data at any time, as described in the privacy policy. If we ever have to close the sync service, we will give notice so you can keep a copy on your device.
No warranty
Nicaea Library is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work carefully to check texts, translations and citations, but errors can happen, so verify anything important against the original sources. To the extent the law allows, HonestApologist is not liable for losses arising from using the library. Keep your own backups of notes that matter to you (both editions can export them).
Donations, changes and contact
